Our Care

Residential Care

Pen-Y-Bont can offer residential placements for those who may need a little bit of extra support. We understand that residential care placements may not be on a permanent basis for some, and we work hard to ensure that our residents retain their independence. When needed, we can support them to relocate to a setting of their choosing, for example moving back home after time in hospital.

Dementia Care

Our residents living with dementia are supported 24 hours a day by trained care staff in a safe secure environment. Residents who have been assessed as requiring nursing care are supported by our dedicated nursing team with 24 hour support from a registered nurse. Before moving into Pen-Y-Bont , a comprehensive assessment is undertaken by a senior member of Staff/Nurse. Additionally, we receive assessments and information from other statutory service professionals. We discuss the care needs with residents and their loved ones to develop an individualised person centred care plan.

Nursing Care

Nursing Care Nursing care is for people with more acute health care needs. Nursing residents will be cared for by our dedicated and qualified nursing teams 24 hours a day. We care for all people that are living with dementia and also for those that have more complex care needs. This includes caring for people with brain injuries, tube feeding, residents with physical disabilities and those that have challenging behaviours or even distressed reactions. At Pen-Y-Bont we take a collaborative approach to nursing care, this is based on our personalised and person centred care plans. To do this our dedicated and highly trained staff will draw up care plans with each individual resident, there family, and multi disciplinary teams. Care plans are reviewed regularly to meet the residents changing needs, to promote dignity and respect, and to ensure the residents independence, personal values and well-being is maximised to the fullest.

What we do

At our care home nestled in the picturesque Welsh countryside, we provide a range of specialised care services, including palliative care, and convalescent care. Additionally, residents have the option of having their own GP if required.

"A lovely, clean place that is very well managed. The care my mother has received since arriving here has been brilliant, all the staff are very friendly and take great care of her. The activities that the care home provides for the residents have been incredible and are a great way of keeping everyone occupied and happy. The social media page that the care home runs is also a great way of keeping up to date with activities and seeing family members enjoying themselves."
